localization
we're proud to announce that we've started to support an europe wide operating video conferencing company in staffing their events in the center of london, one of the busiest finance market places in the world.
as always, but even more so in times like these, a highly unpredictable work environment calls for utmost flexibility in timing and skill sets. we have acquired, interviewed and screened over 100 individuals to come up with a wealth of some 30 highly qualified freelancers, thus delivering crucial quality exactly where and when it is needed, just as you'd expect from a crew pool like the GretschHouse.
video conference being one of the most powerful answers to companies cutting their meeting budgets, there's a lot of expertise needed to ensure smooth operations. with a high brow end client on top of that, it's somewhat of a no-error zone, and we're supplying on a nearly daily base. crew pooling at it's finest. |

diversity
crisis? we are hitting the ground running. another rockshop workshop held by Thomas Zanki, again fully booked out.
then a call for one of the oldest performing art forms still around, the circus! Circus Sarrasani from Dresden, Germany held a 3 weeks guest appearance in Austria, and the GretschHouse ran the show tech wise, with all the responsibility that comes with it.
our marketing department stayed busy as well, we did a logo design for Germany's market leader in work-life balance, diversity and inclusion, and pitched for many more, we have cooked up a couple of show concepts for a local TV broadcasting company and started shooting TV and web ads.
and last but certainly not least we are in preproduction for at least one video for Edo Zanki, Germany's godfather of soul, and are looking forward to do these and more music clips.
and as we sit in a product conference for Panasonic at the spectacular London ExCel, our variety keeps broadening as we are constantly looking for new challenges, to be able to serve your needs even better. |

POPSTARthilfe
workshop @ rockshop
GretschHouse's own Thomas Zanki will be hosting a music biz workshop at the renowned workshop and studio facilities rockshop. under the name "popstart" he'll explain tips and tricks from within the popular music industry. as the market grows tighter and myspace can make anyone famous, the question remains how talent gets attention, how genius gets success. this is exactly where this symposium targets, with answers to topics like copyright protection, song- and lyrics writing, how does the biz work, what's the difference between major and indie labels, what's a manager supposed to do and what not and questions alike. thomas himself grew up in the music biz, worked for labels, musicians, TV and production companies and was a member to the jury for many music- and stage competitions. check out rockshop's homepage for dates and more information!

busy times
the GretschHouse showed up at some far corners of the world lately. we partnered the 12 Tenors to china for a 1 month tour (in addition to the annual winter tour through germany), which turned out to be a really impressive journey. going from scratch in most venues not only tech wise, but also in terms of attitude of the locals, a constant push for quality was obligational. needless to say, we always achieved a show. tapping into the market in the middle east was on the agenda often, we staffed and equipped meetings in Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Abu Dhabi, where we gained tie-ins with local vendors and producers as well as partnerships with other companies abroad. and last but not least, mr. carl cox was at the turntables as we teamed up with metropolis in Bulgaria, a follow up collaboration from earlier jobs with cosmopop in Germany, the makers of the famous timewarp. techno at it's best and a fine party with a lovely crowd, that's just how we like it. |

let the music play
the GretschHouse gained talent: we're proud to announce that mr. Thomas Zanki, music manager, A/R, promoter and quite a lot more join us, bringing a new artist as well: The Tim. an album in the pipe to be released on rodeostar records, this new musician will be touring extensively through germany this fall. sporting lyrics of relevance without ever preaching, The Tim struck our fancy. but we have more: another rising star in the roster, Agnes Milewski, is currently in the recording studio, a tour in late fall will bring her as far as the covent garden in london. the singer/songwriter of many shades and colors is managed and booked by GretschHouse, for this one should be hitting the big lights. another big name: Edo Zanki. a new album, a new tour, the same old Edo: good old german soul. on his 12th CD he manages to overcome the edges of the german language yet again - to connect feel and sound like no-one else does. then we've booked the Hydrokultur festival - what a splash! pouring rain made this one a close shave to cancellation, but hey! 5000 showed up and didn't mind the weather at all. austria's renowned event agency "Markant" has put together a water sports and music spectacle, and GretschHouse made sure Sorgente and Bauchklang rock the stage as well as Excuse Me Moses. stage department was busy, too. basically all the main festivals in austria had "gretschies" spread over them. we've appeared as production- and stage managers, lighting directors, FOH techs, sys techs and many more. and we've been on the go: traveling to china, north- and south america as well as russia with a corporate show, touring through switzerland with "Gotthard", doing 15.000 people techno parties in germany and all that jazz... that's a summer GretschHouse style. |

new booking artist: stereoface
dirty guitars, driving beats, roaring sounds, gripping lyrics - that's rock'n'roll how we like it. Stereoface delivers just that, and we can proudly announce that the GretschHouse takes the responsibility of booking them. because that's what they're about: playing live gigs. and that's what we're about, too. young and ambitious, in the straight of an overflowing squad of new independent bands, they're one experience to be watched on stage, never questioning their heritage but always surprising with originality and self confidence. debuting with an unnamed album, launching the first single "can't face the mirror" on vinyl just like their very own heroes from the 60ies, and deliberately releasing on an alternative label, GretschHouse's partner monkey.music are the key ingredients of the ingenuity Stereoface. Watch for the name in the lights! |

the party increases
changes is one key feature of showbiz. you have to quickly adapt to others, there's always a new direction, a new idea to be followed, and GretschHouse is also undergoing another change: we have invested in our movie department. and oh my, heavily we have, acknowledging a movement towards the visual layer of our work. we were able to sign mr. David Wagner, who has spent 2 semesters at the Tisch School of Arts in New York, has directed several award winning short films, was 3rd assistant director for Robert Dornhelm and covered the Oscars© appearance of Stefan Ruzowitzky (Best Foreign Language Film 2008) as his personal assistant. of course with a camera. as the feedback to our cinematic work grew, we had to stock up on media people. and David brought another entire crew consisting of art directors, producers, designers, cinematographers and technicians, all of them with exceptional visions, but also - a rare combination - great work ethics. so check out the all new movie department! |

2008 - first update
ok, we've been busy. we were on tour, had engagements, worked on new exciting projects and stuck our heads together. There's Sigrid Tschiedl's new tense theaterpiece "Zum Kotzen", opening in vienna in may 08. a play based on a manuscript of a novel, which will be published later this year as well. more info: www.zumkotzen.at more collaborations coming up, we're in the talks with an american theater group for a show at the ars electronika in linz. we'll be putting together an austria/germany/switzerland tour for a classical orchestra. and we'll bring Rinaldo back to live - the Händel opera that staged successfully in 07 will hit the road as well. also, we're currently working on a move, we'll be shifting a little closer towards the original idea of the "gretsch house" by establishing a shared office space, to be even denser, even more tight-knit. watch for the announcement, obviousely we'll be opening with a blast. |

that's 2007 - a GretschHouse report
it all started three years ago with an idea. the concept of synergetic creative work wasn't necessarily new, but the way we established it was groundbreaking. it was in fact so new we had to learn it, too. the mechanisms within such an construction had to be established, the hierarchy to be formed and - of course - accepted. crew members came (a few also went, or had to go), departments were created, a structure formed, to ensure the most compelling results of our labour. partners had to be won, customers acquired. in 2007, it started to pay off. music acts knocked on our door, labels and promoters alike showed interest, not to forget the industry of corporate events. our music video clips were shown on national tv, our bands played at prominent venues, our stage work impressed the masses. and we began to infiltrate the industry. at the nuke festival for example, 4 GH members were on leading positions, and one more came in with an artist. we worked for customers like sharp, mercedes, motorola, teamed up with agencies like buero wien, wilkenwerk and lawall communications, to name a few. not always hired as GretschHouse per se, but our crew is to be found at the top level events, gaining respect and spreading the word. we've been to mexico, canada, new york and istanbul and toured through germany. we've finished an image film for the Bundessozialamt Austria, directed and designed an opera, consulted a multimedia play and designed an exhibition. we jump-started bands, gathered designers, surprised customers and excited audiences. and within all that diversity there's one constant: we always successfully proof that success lies in devotion, in professionalism, in accuracy and affection. now we're more that 20 persons pulling one string: the GretschHouse idea, a better way to stage. we're going strong (watch for the name in the lights!), and we'll be ready to take on any task. are you ready for GretschHouse? |

put your hands together for our new artist, Kira.
Kira is signed under Grönland Records, already bearing two renowned pop / rock albums. GretschHouse is responsible for booking and promotion for Kira in Austria, working closely together with Carolin Huder (personal management). we are more than happy to have this lovely artist added to our roster and can't wait for her first Austria tour in spring 2008. |

here we are again.
a better, faster and more efficient gretschhouse presents itself in a new look. but improvement can be found not only at the surface: we've developed a crew structure to assure handling of even more complex and demanding projects. check out our department navigation on the right. here you'll also find our new section, the shout dep. focusing on PR and promotion, this is not only a companion for our acts, but also a speaker for the gretschhouse itself. we've also expanded our crew. more people with knowledge and experience, more heart and soul, a wider range of crafts. |
